Winter with Boden

I've always loved Boden clothes but they're more of a luxury to me than an everyday item.

I was browsing their website and admiring the new Autumn/Winter collection last week and a few things really jumped out to me so I thought I'd share them.

Navy is my favourite colour and they have some gorgeous pieces in this season. I love the gold trim on the jumper, it would be perfect for a Christmas party or even as part of your Christmas day outfit!

The tartan of this sort is so gorgeous and super perfect for the winter season. Boots are a necessity in my wardrobe and these suede black heels are just gorgeous and would be stylish and cosy.

Go take a look at the clothes and come tell me what your favourite pieces are!

I'm not sponsored by Boden at all. But I do just love their clothes so thought I'd show them a little love!

Wedding Wednesday: Bridal Fashion Week Picks

Last week was Bridal Fashion week and I'd been following all the bridal shops on Instagram and I thought I'd share my top 5 dresses from the week.

Ti Adora by Alvina Valenta gown
Rosa Clara gown
Alma Nova gown
D.I.D by Watters gown
Marchesa gown
You can probably see a theme in the dresses I like. I'm definitely a fan of the floaty dresses small dresses, some kind of high neck and sleeve and a natural waist.

I'm excited to try dresses on soon and maybe give you a sneak peak when I try them on with my Mama.

Instagram at it's best..

Instagram is such an amazing tool now for businesses and shoppers alike. There are so many amazing Instagram accounts now that I follow just for the satisfaction of seeing the beautiful shots and eyeing up their products so I thought I'd share a few of my favourite!

1. Anthropologie

Halloween Kitchen Decorations!

Late night post but it's fitting for the theme of this post! Halloween! I know I'm a little early to the party but I have other ideas for closer to Halloween and I as soon as I spotted this pumpkin in Asda I knew it was time to decorate!

So I thought I'd show you the few things we've done to decorate for Autumn!

Firstly I grabbed this adorable bunting from Asda as it was only £1 and looks perfect in the kitchen above our dinning table.

Next I got these Pom Poms as a test to see if I liked the orange, turns out it looks more peachy online and bright orange in real life. So I decided to repurpose them as our Halloween decorations!

We also got a pumpkin! We're going to make this into a lantern tomorrow but I think it looks pretty sweet on our kitchen table!

With a little black and white cat like this can you guess what I might dress up as for Halloween?? (A Witch!)

I'm super excited for this season and I'm planning on decorating the hallway and maybe the living room too so watch out for those!

Things I'm thankful of this week.

Sundays are always the most lovely days. We relax, we eat nice food and overall do nothing. I thought I'd make my sunday posts about the things that I've been thankful for this week.

So here's what made me happy this week:

1. The perfect Autumn weather that's started to roll in. It rained the other day and I was so excited! Autumn Winter is the best season.

2. New glittery shoes! I do love glitter and grabbing my black glitter slippers from Topshop was a highlight of the week!

3. Winning an 'I am Blogger' tee from Layla at Lettered Cottage and Blogthreads on an Instragram giveaway. Can't wait to wear this one out and about.

4. Making the pom poms I ordered to try out as decorations for the wedding!

5. Making plans to go wedding dress browsing with my Mama!

6. Throwing on all the cardigans I own because it's finally cold enough.

7. Getting excited for next Sunday's Vintage Wedding Fair!

8. Rediscovering Sims 3 and becoming a recluse once again. With Sims it's all or nothing.

9. Reorganising my blog and adding in a few more bits and bobs! (Look for my About Me page!)

10. Getting excited for Halloween. I've got bunting and can't wait to get a pumpkin!

Here's hoping next week is just as great!

Easy Saturday Quiche

So here is a super quick and easy quiche recipe for your Saturday evening or for a quick sunday lunch you can whip out and enjoy.

The flavour I've chosen is tomato, cheese and pesto. These are some of my favourite simple flavours and we had all these things in the house. If you want to make this with different ingredients just replace them in equal measures.

Ingredients:

Pre packed shortcrust pastry,
4 large eggs,
400ml milk,
100g tomatoes,
100g grated cheese,
1 Tablespoon green pesto.

Firstly roll your pastry out to slightly bigger than your tin. Leave a little around the top of your tin but trim the excess off.
Take a fork and stab gently into the pastry to stop it from puffing up too much in the oven.

Take your 4 eggs and add salt, pepper and some basil. Then whisk and add to your milk in a jug.

Slice your tomatoes into small chunks.

Next take a spoon of pesto and spread it across the bottom of your pastry.

Add your tomatoes and cheese on top of that.

Put your tin on a tray and pop into the oven, before you push it all the way in grab your liquids and add to the pastry until almost completely at the top.

Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until the middle stops wobbling. Leave it to cool and then enjoy for lunch or dinner. This will keep in the fridge for 1 or 2 days so eat it quick.

Wedding Wednesday: My wedding notebook

I thought for this Wedding Wednesday I'd give you all a little peak at my wedding notebook!

I've been writing down my ideas and plans. All the things we've decided on and I've doodled next to them.

I just have a simple ring binder from WH Smiths.

So far my favourite magazines to flick through have been You&Your Wedding and Brides, they have plenty of content and lots of real weddings of all different themes.

I have lots of cuttings from magazines. That I throw in the back of my book to look at whenever I'm thinking of making a decision about something.

Lots of floaty, chiffon dress inspiration. I'm especially in love with the one in the middle from Ti Adora.

I split my book into sections and wrote down all our initial ideas for what we wanted.

We've pretty much decided on our wedding venue and just need to organise a time to go and see it officially. But from all the pictures and info we've seen we couldn't imagine anywhere more suited to us.

Doodles for the entrance.

Wedding dress sketches.

Our aim is to do a lot of the decorations, invitations and food like desert table and drinks ourselves. Which will save us money and we'll enjoy doing at the same time.

I also started a list of music in the back of the book to write down songs I hear and love.

I keep smiling every time I look at G and remember that I get to marry that amazing man. And I know I've caught him smiling at me a few times too.

We're beyond excited and can't wait to officially start planning, booking and making.
